We Buy Eaton & Cutler-Hammer Equipment
Eaton and Cutler-Hammer are two labels for one deep family of gear, and we buy across all of it — from crusty CH loadcenter breakers to Magnum drawouts and Freedom 2100 MCC buckets.
Whatever era your labels are from, text them to (951) 903-9804 and we'll sort out what's what.

What we chase hardest
Series C molded case breakers (F, J, K, L frames) are the volume line. Magnum and DS air breakers with Digitrip units top the value chart. Freedom 2100 and F10 MCC buckets stay in steady demand from plants keeping older lineups alive, and Pow-R-Line panelboards with their bolt-on BAB/GHB breakers sell reliably.
Cutler-Hammer's older lines — the DS breakers, A-frame molded cases, Type W starters — remain live service parts for thousands of facilities. Old doesn't mean worthless; it usually means scarce.

- Magnum & DS drawout air breakers, Digitrip trip units
- Freedom 2100 / F10 MCC buckets and lineups
- Pow-R-Line panelboards, loaded
- Heavy-duty safety switches and pushbutton stock
Plant clean-outs are Eaton country
American factories standardized on Cutler-Hammer controls for half a century, so when a plant closes, the MCC room is usually wall-to-wall C-H. We've cleared those rooms coast to coast — buckets, starters, spare shelves and all. Send lineup photos and the spare-parts crib list together; the crib is often worth more than the lineup.
Eaton and Cutler-Hammer lines and what they trade for
This brand spans several generations under different names — Westinghouse became Cutler-Hammer, which became Eaton — and all three eras still sell. That lineage is useful to sellers because a panel bought under one name often accepts breakers labeled with another, which widens the pool of buildings that need your parts.
Series C is the workhorse: F, J, K, L, and N frames turn over constantly as service stock. Pow-R-Line panelboards and switchboards sell as assemblies, and Freedom series MCC buckets have real demand from plants standardized on them. Older Cutler-Hammer air power breakers deserve individual attention rather than being lumped into a scrap lot.
| Series C F, J, K frames | High-volume replacement stock |
|---|---|
| Series C L, N and larger frames | Strong individual value |
| Magnum and air power breakers | Worth removing carefully; high value |
| Pow-R-Line panelboards and switchboards | Sell intact as assemblies |
| Freedom series MCC buckets | Standardized plants pay for matching units |
| Legacy Cutler-Hammer / Westinghouse frames | Parts market often exceeds scrap by multiples |
Identifying Eaton and Cutler-Hammer equipment
Look for the style or catalog number on the breaker face, and note which brand name is printed — Westinghouse, Cutler-Hammer, or Eaton. That tells us the generation, which affects both the value and which buildings can use it.
For trip units, photograph them separately if they are digital: the trip unit is frequently worth a meaningful share of a large breaker's value, and its model matters. Keep rating plugs with their breakers rather than in a separate bag.
For MCC and switchboard work, send the lineup nameplate and a wide shot end to end before anything is disassembled. Assemblies are worth more whole, and we bring our own crew for the removal.
Common questions
Eaton or Cutler-Hammer — does the label matter?
Not to us. Same catalog DNA, same demand. Photograph whatever the label says and we'll price it right.
Do you buy Digitrip trip units alone?
Yes — RMS 310/510/810/910 units and rating plugs have standalone value. Label photos work as always.
What Freedom buckets pay best?
Larger sizes, solid-state overloads, and VFD buckets. But every complete bucket is worth a photo.
Is Westinghouse-labeled gear the same as Eaton for pricing?
Not identical, but related. The lineage means compatibility often carries across, and older Westinghouse frames can be worth more than newer equivalents because they serve buildings with no new-production option.
Do you buy Freedom series MCC buckets individually?
Yes. Individual buckets with their starters and overloads intact have real value to plants standardized on Freedom lineups. Keep them assembled rather than stripping components out.
